LIGHTHOUSE BASKETBALL SEASON STARTS

Today I have my first lighthouse basketball game. I am really excited because I have been waiting for years for this day.This year my dad is my coach. We are playing Crossroads Christian school today and we are playing Wilson Christian school on Thursday. My favorite position is point guard, the guy who dribbles down the floor.

BUSY JULY

In July we went to three places. The first place we went to was Natural Bridge, Virginia. We went camping there and it was a lot of fun. We did stuff like ping pong, basketball, swimming, hiking and we went to Monticello which was Thomas Jefferson's home. It was really cool.

The second place we went to was the beach for Amanda's birthday. We stayed in one of our friend's beach house. We went swimming, sat on the dock, made videos, played games and stuff like that.

And the third thing we did was we went to Massachusetts for my grandma and grandpa's 50th wedding anniversary party. It was a lot of fun. we did stuff like swimming, badminton, bananagrams and other stuff. We also went to Boston for a day.

NEW LIFE CAMP

Three weeks ago I went to New Life Camp. I like it a lot. Its a whole lot of fun. This was my third year of camp. This year my cabins name was the Conquerors. This year my friend Tyler went. there are eight cabins in all - four boy cabins and four girl cabins. There are 16 kids, 2 CIT's and 2 counselors in each cabin. My favorite thing to do at camp is dodge ball.

BASEBALL

Last Tuesday I had my first baseball game of the season. We won 9-4. We had are second game on Thursday and we won 23-2. I have my third game tonight at 6pm. Last year we went undefeated throughout the season. Only two players moved up a division. I play first base and center field. I play machine pitch for Wake Forest rec. Our team name is the River Cats which is a minor league baseball team for the Oakland Athletics.

Last week my family and I went to a home school basketball tournament at Liberty University in Virginia. My dad coaches a varsity boys basketball team. They got first place in the 1 A division. They came in 16th out of all. I won first place in the eleven and under three point competition. We staid at the quality inn we got there last Wednesday and left Saturday afternoon. My sister Amanda played on the girls varsity team. Me, Sarah, Amanda, Eric, mom, and dad all went to the tournament. The varsity girls got 4th out of all. I HAD A GREAT TIME!
